Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween costumes can be scary, creepy, spooky, and fun. Nowadays, you can buy almost each and every Halloween party accessory. But little ingenuity can turn your Halloween costume into an exclusive one. Remember, how with a simple white piece of cloth, ET got its exclusive Halloween costume! So it is little bit of your imagination that can turn your Halloween costume an adorable one.

As we all know, Halloween is a combination of Celtic and Roman festivals. It is based on the ancient Gael beliefs that on 31st October the boundaries between the world of the living and the world of the dead overlap. Therefore you get so many ideas for preparing your Halloween costume. They can be Celtic or Roman and the alive and the dead. Costumes are inspired by historical stories and ideas.

Halloween costumes can be for men, women, boys, girls, and even for kids and toddlers. Some all time favorites are Freddy Krueger, Jason and count Dracula, witches, vampires, devils, pirates, and Halloween bride. Masks, wigs, horns, gloves, capes, eye masks, jewelry, face makeup, eyelashes, and brooms are some extremely popular accessories.

For men, there are exclusive costumes like Grim Reaper Costumes, Phantoms and Ghouls, Scream Costumes, Skeleton Costumes, Zombie Costumes, etc. Harry Potter theme dresses are quite popular among young kids. You get a whole collection of Gothic costumes for men as well as women. Only masks can carry your whole attire on a Halloween party. Face costumes and masks again are designed for men and women. Masks with horns, spikes, or skeleton faces are really scary. The advantage of such face costumes, either made of leather or rubber, is you do not have to wear a special dress. The mask will carry your entire presence. You can get really spooky with a wig or horned hats. Ladies may have various wigs to match their dresses. They can have Witches Wigs or Gothic Wigs dyed with fluorescent colors and decorated with beads. How about dressing like a man from Mars and a woman from Venus? Some fun masks and glittery dress can turn you into an extra terrestrial.

If you are attending the Halloween party as a couple, a Cowboy and Saloon Girl will look really smart. For the male partner, jeans, cowboy shirt, bandana, boots, hat, holster and gun will make a smart costume. The lady can wear a knee-high dress, with a high-heeled boots.

Whatever costumes you innovate just remember that it should be funny but safe. Sharp edges or complicated parts that can tangle easily should be avoided. If you are planning a party with kids, be extra careful. For toddlers, do not make a costume that is too scary. A fluffy pumpkin for a kid looks really cute and cool. The costume should not be too fussy and uncomfortable to wear. It should be funny but not silly.
